Gamecock Women’s Basketball

Colonial Life Arena is home to three-time NCAA Women’s Basketball National Champion. Under head coach Dawn Staley, South Carolina has become one of the most feared home courts in the nation.

The Gamecocks have led the nation in attendance the last ten seasons and now have eight SEC Championships. They have been undefeated at home each of the last three seasons and six times in the last 11 seasons and lost just nine times in that span. In 17 seasons under head coach Dawn Staley, the Gamecocks have featured two National Players of the Year, two National Defensive Players of the Year, the National Freshman of the Year, 11 All-Americans, three SEC Players of the Year, four SEC Defensive Players of the Year and 21 All-SEC players. 

The Gamecocks have hosted NCAA Tournament games at Colonial Life Arena since 2015 in addition to regular-season meetings with nationally recognized programs, including three sellout crowds of 18,000 fans in the last four seasons.
