Venue Entry

A search will be conducted at all venue entry points and all guests entering the venue will be subject to handheld wand screening and bag checks. Clear bags are required. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early and allow ample time for processing. View clear bag policy here.

Clear Bag Policy

While bags are not encouraged, the following outlines the bags that are permitted:

  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" -- A logo no larger than 4.5" x 3.4" can be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
  • Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" -- approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap
  • Medically necessary items (after proper inspection and tagging)

Diapers and additional baby supplies may be carried in a clear bag. Family members, including children, are allowed to carry an approved bag into the arena.

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to:

  • Purses larger than a clutch bag
  • Briefcases
  • Backpacks
  • Fanny packs
  • Cinch/Drawstring bags
  • Luggage of any kind
  • Computer bags
  • Diaper bags
  • Binocular cases
  • Camera bags


GA Pit Entry (Wednesday Show Only)

Fans attending the Wednesday, Sept. 11th show with GA (General Admission) Pit tickets on the floor must enter at the College Street entrance located on the Lincoln Street side of the building.

Safety and Security

No professional cameras, which includes detachable lenses. No professional or non-mobile phone cameras. Absolutely no videotaping of the show. No iPads/tablets, GoPros, selfie sticks or glow sticks. No smoking (this includes e-cigarettes and vape pens). No lasers, lights or flash lights. No weapons of any kind (that includes mace). Click here to view our full list of prohibited items.

Hootie Gives

Hootie & The Blowfish are committed to supporting military personnel & first responders plus local food banks and schools in need during their 3-night homecoming performances at Colonial Life Arena. Wednesday, Sept. 11 is set to benefit military personnel and first responders via the 9/11 Remembrance Foundation of South Carolina, with a Thursday, Sept. 12 school supply drive aiding the Richland County Public Education Partners & SC for Ed and a Friday, Sept. 13 food drive supporting the Harvest Hope Food Bank.


Fans attending the Thursday, Sept. 12 show are encouraged to bring school supplies to “fill the bus” at the front entry doors, with pencils, dry erase markers, copy paper, facial tissues and bleach wipes designated by local teachers as the most-needed items. On Friday, Sept. 13, non-perishable food items will also be collected at the front entry doors, with monetary donations accepted at all arena entry points on all three nights.

Visit the Liquor Lounge located in Suite D by Section 112 for a wine or liquor drink including the Homegrown Twist signature drink for the show.

Everyone requires a ticket regardless of age.

Mobile Tickets

Surface lots (A&B) located between Greene & Blossom Streets and the Discovery Garage at 821 Park Street, across from the Arena, will be available for patron parking. There are no advance parking sales. All parking is available for CASH ONLY per vehicle. Prices are determined by owners/operators & can change without notice. Arena does not operate parking lots.
